With a Scion Certified Pre-Owned Vehicle, you can rest easy knowing it has been reconditioned to meet Scion's exacting standards by factory-trained Scion technicians, and has passed a rigorous inspection process. Secondly, to be a Certified Scion, a vehicle must pass a comprehensive set of qualifications, including completion of a CARFAX Vehicle History Report and a 160-point Quality Assurance Inspection.
Also, all Scion Certified Pre-Owned Vehicles are backed by a 3-month/3,000-mile Comprehensive Warranty as well as a 7-year/100,000-mile Limited Powertrain Warranty and 7-year/100,000-mile Roadside Assistance Plan from the original date of first use when sold as new. And let's not forget Certified Scions come with new car financing rates.
Above all, they're Scions. Which means you're assured of the quality and reliability that have become hallmarks of the brand.
In a world where only the strongest survive, we set very strict standards for our Certified Pre-Owned Vehicles. All Scion models are eligible, but before a pre-owned vehicle is even considered for our certification process it must have less than 85,000 miles on its odometer and only be the current model or six years back. If it meets these requirements, it must then both pass the Quality Assurance Inspection and receive an acceptable CARFAX Vehicle
History Report to qualify. It's this rigorous process that separates a Scion Certified Pre-Owned Vehicle from ordinary used vehicles.
QUALITY ASSURANCE INSPECTION
From the transmission to the floor mats, each Scion Certified candidate must pass an exhaustive vehicle inspection. We even road-test each vehicle to ensure grade-A performance. It?s all a part of what we call our 160-point Quality Assurance Inspection. Sure our standards are tough, but there's no room for compromise when it comes to being Scion Certified.
CARFAX VEHICLE HISTORY REPORT
For each vehicle, the Certification process begins with a check of its CARFAX Vehicle History Report (VHR). The CARFAX VHR provides a glimpse into a vehicle's past and can identify red flags such as a possible odometer rollback or previously reported structural damage. If a vehicle's VHR doesn't meet our standards, we won't
continue the quality inspection. Why bother? It'll never be Scion Certified.
